A Muse

To my new found muse, who like a good muse, provides me with valuable inspiration.
Today I found a muse. It was a rather unexpected event, though rather gratifying. It happened as I was rummaging through the dusty contents of a box, hidden under the bed. To my most abrupt surprise, there it was, staring me in the face, with a look of fixation. You can imagine my astonishment at such a discovery! The serenity of it, just sitting there, not moving, not speaking. Captivating.
And there was I, kneeling down, hands covered in dustiness, contemplating this marvelous sight. One could feel pure inspiration radiating outwards in slow undulations like diffracted light from a prism in exquisite sensory energy. Scintillations of brilliance - fragments of genius flashing here and there, all of this in the darkness under the bed. How or why, I cannot say. It is perhaps one of those rare events witnessed only by the few fortunate souls to whom destiny, or a higher force, wishes to bless.
Still exhilerated as I find myself to be, I have kept it carefully hidden away so that when the need be, I may retrieve it and enjoy its brilliance.
